Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in food, travel, and art. I hope you enjoy your visit!

Quiche Lorraine

Quiche Lorraine

Happy Halloween! I have a frightful food tale to tell about a recent fridge raid, but don’t worry, it has a happy ending…

It was a dark and stormy night…well, afternoon. I was all alone in the house, when suddenly, hunger struck me. It was horrifying. But even more ghastly was the fact that the fridge wasn’t stocked to its normal capacity. It was woefully under stocked in fact. But before despair completely overtook me, I realized that the frozen pie crust, eggs, heavy cream, cheese, and 3 slices of ham could be transformed into a terrifyingly delicious Quiche Lorraine! I let out a sigh of relief and knew all would be well in my kitchen.

Ingredients:

Frozen pie crust

6 eggs

1 cup heavy cream

Cheese (as much as you want and any kind)

Ham

Salt

Pepper

Cayenne pepper (to your taste)

Nutmeg (just a pinch)

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Parsley (dried or fresh)

Performance:

Combine all ingredients and pour into pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for around 30-45 minutes, or until the middle is set (firm and not jiggly). Enjoy in solitude or with friends!
