Baked Brie with Pumpkin Butter, Honey, and Pistachios (Fall Recipe)
There are few things in life I enjoy more than cheese. Okay, with the exception of red wine… and pasta... My point is cheese is wonderful, and baking it with pumpkin butter (a dear friend’s suggestion), honey, and pistachios makes it even more wonderful. It’s ridiculously easy to make and super impressive given that it only requires 4 ingredients.
Just a suggestion: You should totally make this and invite friends over to revel in this yummy, cheesy, pumpkin treat this Fall!
Preparation:
Small wheel of brie cheese
Pumpkin butter (any brand will do)
Honey
Pistachios
Performance:
I preheated my oven to 350 degrees, then covered a small cast iron skillet (slightly larger than my wheel of brie) with non-stick tin foil, as I don’t believe in causing unnecessary strife (scrubbing post melted cheese). I placed my wheel of brie in the skillet, then smothered the top with pumpkin butter. I then sprinkled a few pistachios on top and drizzled with honey. I finished all this before the oven even had time to heat up completely. Once the oven was hot, I baked the brie for about 15 to 20 minutes. Later, we devoured it with plain water crackers.
